Happy Saturday!  Sorry I have been MIA lately.  Life has been just crazy around here.  Here is today's sketch over on the UDI blog.

UDI Color Challenge 83

Happy Tuesday!  Time for another color challenge on the UDI blog.  Here are the colors of the day. 

I used the colors to create a baby card.  A co-worker is expecting her first baby, and I am sure she is having a boy.  She won't find out until the end of the month, but now I'm prepared.  LOL

Retiring Stamp Sets Have Been Announced!

Stampin' Up! released the list of retiring stamp sets today!  Click here to see it for yourself!  If there are any that you have to have, you'll need to order them by May 31st. The 2010-2012 In Colors are also retiring.  The Accessories List will be released on April 25th, and those are only while supplies last.  I'll post it here as soon as it's released.

Don't forget!  The 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog ends on May 31st, and the new catalog begins June 1st!

UDI Sketch Challenge 184

Happy Saturday!  Today's sketch was a tough one for me.  I couldn't get my head around it.  Here it is.  

I decided to use My Digital Studio to recreate it.  I love that program!  Things never retire in MDS either...BONUS!!  :)

UDI Color Challenge 82

Hello!  I hope you all had a blessed weekend!  We celebrated my daughter's birthday on Saturday and Easter on Sunday, and it was a wonderful weekend!

Here is today's color challenge on the UDI blog.  That chair is so very bright.  LOL

Here is the card I created.  I used a previous UDI Sketch Challenge for the layout.  The card base is Pool Party.  The next layer is Whisper White run through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The strip is Pool Party punched with the Scallop Trim border punch topped with Poppy Parade and a piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP from SAB.  The image is from Delightful Dozen.  I cut it with the Labels Framelits after stamping.  Pearls are the finishing touch.

UDI Sketch Challenge and a Special Occasion

Happy Saturday!  Not only is it time for another UDI Sketch Challenge, but today is my baby girl's 14th birthday!  :)  I can't believe how fast time has flown!  It seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital!

Anyway, before I get all mushy, I better show you what I made for her using today's sketch. First, here is the sketch.  I actually used the sketch just as it was.  I did change the butterfly to a circle, though.  ;)

Here is Lauren's birthday card.  The base is Naturals White card stock followed by a layer of Island Indigo.  That is topped with Daffodil Delight, Summer Smooches DSP and a strip of Island Indigo.  The sentiment is stamped in Island Indigo on a strip of Naturals White that I flagged with a square punch.  The image is from Easy Events.  I stamped it on Naturals White and colored it, then I added some bling. What girl doesn't like bling, right?  :)  Dazzling Diamonds cover the frosting, and the cake stand is painted with Illuminate Top Coat.  You can't really see it in the picture.  It's punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle punched and adhered to a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch.  It's adhered to the card with dimensionals.  

I also made a Petite Purse to hold her birthday gift...money.   I love this new die!  The base is Island Indigo topped with a piece of Summer Smooches.  I added some gel pen stitching along with a Boho Blossom punch flower and a Brights Button.  The handle is attached with silver brads.
