UDI Sketch Challenge and a Happy New Year Wish!

Happy New Year's Eve!  I cannot believe 2011 is at an end!  I remember when it was 1999, and the whole world was worried about all the computers crashing!  LOL  Memories!   I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year! 

Now on to the sketch.  It's the last one for December, and  Adriana did a fabulous job this month!  I flipped it on its side to accomodate the stamp I used.

This is a sneak peek of a Sale-A-Bration set called Outlined Occasions.  This is my Happy New Year card for all of you!  I stamped the sentiment in Jet Black Stazon, and then I colored all the confetti with my Cherry Cobbler marker.  I thought it still needed something, so I pulled out my Versamarker and colored in all the letters and embossed them with Iridescent Ice.  (There's a close-up picture so you can see the sparkle.)  I added some Cherry Cobbler seam binding for an extra added somethin-somethin.  ;)

UDI Sketch Challenge #167

It's Saturday and time for another UDI Sketch Challenge!  Here is the sketch Adriana created for us today.  The first thing I saw was Mickey Mouse!  I decided to go a different way though.  Maybe I'll whip up a Mickey card next.  ;)

Instead of Mickey, I decided to make another simple Christmas card.  (Now I just need to start mailing all of them!  LOL)  I used Blushing Bride and Shimmer White card stock. The Shimmer White was run through the Big Shot in the Northern Flurry embossing folder, and the Blushing Bride 'ornaments' were run through in the Snowburst embossing folder.  The ' 'ornaments' were made with the 1/2", 3/4" and 1" Circle punches.  The hangers were drawn in with a marker.  They are hanging from a piece of Blushing Bride pleated ribbon.  It will be available to the public on January 4th in the Occasions mini catalog.  :)

Enjoy your weekend!  I will be working and then Christmas shopping.  I don't know how the time gets away from me, but I am in panic mode!

Birthday Thanks

Happy Monday!  (Yeah, right!  LOL)   Hey!  I'm posting, and it's not even Saturday!  ;)  

Today's post is the Thank You note I made for my son to send out for his birthday gifts.  

It's just a simple card, but it gets the job done.  I used the Cupcakes wheel to decorate the front of a Naturals White card base.  The cherries and strawberries are colored with Real Red.  The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly and is stamped with Jet Black Stazon and punched with the Wide Oval punch.  It is mounted on a Real Red die-cut from the Lots of Tags sizzlit.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #166

Happy Saturday!  I am so glad the weekend is here!  I love my Saturday Sketch challenge!  It makes me take some time for myself to do something I love!  It has been the week from you know where at work, and I really needed a time-out!  ;)    Here's Adriana's sketch for today. 

I made another simple Christmas card.  I used the Letters to Santa DSP for all my strips.  The Crumb Cake background was embossed with the Snowburst embossing folder.  The snowflake was made with the Triple Layer Doily punch and adhered with a Clear rhinestone.  The background panel was adhered to the Real Red card base with dimensionals.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #165

Happy Saturday!  It's December already, and that means it is Adriana's turn to create our sketches!  Here's her first one.

I'm not sure I like my card, but here it is.  I used Marina Mist for the card base and top panel.  The top panel was run through the Big Shot in the Snowburst embossing folder.  The greeting from Curly Cute is stamped in Marina Mist between 2 score lines.  I stamped the snowflakes from Snow Swirled in Versamark and embossed them with Silver embossing powder.  A little sponging on the top panel, and I can mark one more Christmas card off my list.
