UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #164

Happy Saturday!  I hope all my friends here in America had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  

Today is the last sketch from Ruthie.  I used her color scheme as well as her sketch to make a simple Christmas card.  It's another card you can mail with just one stamp. :)

The card base is Very Vanilla layered with Old Olive and a piece of last year's Christmas DSP, Jolly Holiday.  A piece of Old Olive DSP from the Brights pack would work, too.  I used Victoria crochet trim for the strips.  The image is from Perfect Punches and was stamped in Old Olive on Very Vanilla and punched with the Scallop Circle punch.  I adhered it to the card with dimensionals.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #163

Happy Saturday!  Here's today's sketch and what I created with it.  I used the Perfect Pennants and Daisy #2 dies to make my birthday hat.  The DSP is Big Top Birthday, and the sentiment is from Curly Cute.  The Whisper White background piece is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #162

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  It's time for the next installment of the UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge, and here is today's sketch by Ruthie.  As soon as I looked at her sketch, my card was practically finished.   :)

Here's my card. (See what I mean.  LOL)  The card base is Marina Mist.  I stamped the medium snowflake from Snow Swirled all over it with Frost White shimmer paint.  The snow bank is a piece of Whisper White that I tore on one edge. I sponged all the pieces of my card with the shimmer paint.  After I put the Whisper White pieces on the card base, it just looked too stark to me, so I sponged the Whisper White pieces with Marina Mist ink to soften them up just a bit. It is so sparkly IRL, but I just couldn't capture it in my photo. :(

That's it.  An easy, peasy card perfect for mass-producing and mailing with just 1 stamp.  :)

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #161

Happy Saturday!  It's time for another sketch challenge on the UDI blog.  November's sketches are brought to us by Ruthie!  Here's the first one. 

I stuck with the sketch and created a simple Thanksgiving card.  I was asked to make a card with a 5th grade class for the Great American Teach-In, and I am thinking of using this one.  What do you think?  The base is Sahara Sand embossed with the Houndstooth folder.  The strip is Always Artichoke and Autumn Traditions DSP.  It's retired, but I'm sure the 10-year olds won't care..  ;)   The medallion is from the Perfect Pennants die.  I also used the 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" Circle punches.  The leaf and sentiment are from the set, Falling Leaves.  The sentiment was punched with the Word Window punch and the Modern Label punch.  Easy peasy.
