Another Stamp-a-Stack Preview

These are 2 more cards we'll be making Sunday at my Holiday Punch Stamp-a-Stack.  I'll let the ladies choose their own sentiments.

Stamp-a-Stack Preview

Good Tuesday morning!  Today's card is one of the six we'll be making Sunday at my Holiday Stamp-a-Stack. (I have 2 spots left if you're in the area!)  You can find more information in this post here.  Mr. Brown brought my box of supplies Monday, so I'll be cutting lots of paper in the next couple days.  :)

The card base is Old Olive.  The strips are Holly Jolly DSP and Very Vanilla & Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The card stock strips were run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The image is from Tags til Christmas which is in the Holiday Mini.  Every image can be punched out with one of SU!'s fabulous punches.  :)  (This image was punched out with the XL Decorative Label punch.)  The image was colored with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler markers.  Waffle paper was adhered to the back of the punch along with some Cherry Cobbler seam binding.  The entire thing is adhered to the card with dimensionals.  A rhinestone jewel adds a touch of bling.

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

Good Saturday morning!  I was blog surfing this morning and came across the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge.  Kerin's card caught my eye, and I decided to CASE it for the birthday card I need for later today.  :)

I pulled out some more retired DSP and got creating.  The card base is Chocolate Chip followed by Whisper White and Pretty in Pink.  The DSP strips are all from the same pack, Sweet Always (retired).  I adhered a piece of Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon between 2 of the DSP strips.  The sentiment is from All Holidays, and it's stamped on a strip of Whisper White that was punched with the Scallop Trim border punch.   The cupcake image is from Party Hearty and is stamped on Whisper White and punched with the 1 3/4" Circle punch.  I colored it with Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Pumpkin Pie.  The sprinkles and liner stripes are covered in Dazzling Diamonds.  That circle is layered on one cut with the Circles #2 die and the Big Shot, and that circle is layered on a 2  3/4" Scalloped Circle punch.  It's attached to the card with dimensionals.  I used a piece of the DSP to line the envelope, too.  I've got to use up my retired stuff!  LOL

Playful Pieces Birthday Bags

Happy Friday!  Finally!  I didn't think the weekend would ever get here!  Now that it's here, there's no time to waste!  ;)  We have 2 birthday parties tomorrow, and I've only got one card finished.  LOL  At least it's for the first party.  :)   

I am using up still more of my retired stash of papers.  (I think that pile is multiplying!)  The card base is Crushed Curry, and the DSP is Razzleberry Lemonade.  The gift bags are from Playful Pieces,  a current level 3 hostess set.  I stamped them on Whisper White in Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango and Rich Razzleberry.  The handles are stamped in Basic Black.  I cut slits at the tops of the bags with my craft knife and pulled some tissue paper through them.  I just love it!  The sentiment is from On Your Birthday and is stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White.  It's punched out with the Word Window punch and then layered on a Modern Label punch and the corresponding Movers & Shapers die for the Big Shot.

Inspired UDI Color Challenge

Hello!  The UDI blog is hosting a new challenge!  Every Tuesday, the amazingly talented Gretchen Barron will be hosting a color challenge!  Yesterday was the very first one!  I couldn't miss it!  Here is the challenge.  Isn't this just a fabulous combination?!

I wanted to keep my card simple.  I used Crumb Cake for the card base.  I stamped the flower image from Inspired by Nature on to Very Vanilla.  I used Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso.  The Rich Razzleberry comes in on the side.  I used the Scallop Trim border punch on it.  I adhered the Very Vanilla piece to it and then ran them both through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink over the Very Vanilla piece so it wasn't so bright.  I love the final product!

Dasher Christmas

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday to you!  Today's post is a card I made while blog surfing.  I stopped by Margaret's blog, and saw this card.  I loved the layout, and I had to make a card of my own right away.  :)

I pulled out some of my retired goodies (I've got to use this stuff!) and got started. The card base is Real Red.  There is another layer of Real Red on top of the base.  I adhered the strips of DSP and the Old Olive crimped (not really noticeable in the pic) and scalloped piece to the bottom of it before running the top half through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I added a piece of Old Olive taffeta (retired), and then started thinking about the image piece.  I pulled out all my Christmas sets to see which ones would work.  I ended up putting them all back on the shelf and using Dasher.  I just LOVE this stamp!  I blinged him up with some self-adhesive rhinestones.  I also added some to the bottom corner.  Simple, but I love it!

Vintage Birthday

Happy Labor Day!  I hope you had a fabulous holiday with your friends & family!

Besides being Labor Day, today is also the birthday of a friend and co-worker.  I loved the card I made here, so I decided to CASE myself.  :)  I just flipped it and changed the colors.  I used Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink.  I ran the background piece of Pretty in Pink through the Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Then I sponged the raised images with Pretty in Pink ink to give it even more dimension.  The long Very Vanilla piece is stamped with the Very Vintage wheel and sponged with Pretty in Pink.  The sentiment panel is stamped with the small flower from Vintage Vogue (stamped off once) and sponged with Pretty in Pink.  The sentiment is from On Your Birthday and is stamped in Chocolate Chip.  The card base is also sponged with Pretty in Pink.  The finishing touch is a piece of retired Chocolate Chip poly-twill ribbon.

Vintage Thanks

WooHoo!  It's finally Friday!  Plus, it's a 3-day weekend for my kiddos and me!  Yippee!  

Whew!  Now that that's out of the way...

I made another card!  It feels great to be creating again...even if it is a CASE.  I found a card on Stampin' Connection (a website for SU! demos) that really caught my eye, and I decided to make my own version.  

I don't have the stamp set she used, so I used Vintage Vogue.  The flowers are stamped in Certainly Celery ink on Certainly Celery  and Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly and is also stamped in Certainly Celery.  The background mats are Night of Navy.  I sponged all the layers (except the Night of Navy) with Certainly Celery ink.  I am really liking the final product.  :)  How about you?
