Something new for Sketchy Saturday

Good Saturday morning!  Well, it's actually Friday night.  I'm posting a bit early to make sure everything works correctly.  :)  The sketch team has decided to change up the way we do things a bit.  We're going to be posting links to the next team member.  Sort of like a blog hop except it's a sketch skip.  I just made that up...don't mind me.   LOL   You can click on the links in everyone's post to get to the next team member's blog.  We're just going in alphabetical order except for Carol, our sketch mom.  She'll be last in the skip.  You can still find links to all our blogs in the original post at the UDI blog in case you get lost or a link doesn't work.  Be sure to let us know what you think of the new idea.  :)

On to the sketch.  I flipped it on its side for my card.  I started with an Old Olive card base followed by a piece of Chocolate Chip and a piece of DSP from the Welcome Neighbor pack. (It's free for SAB!)  I adhered the DSP to the Chocolate Chip and ran them both through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I used the Daisies #2 die for the circle in the sketch.  The petals are sponged with So Saffron, and a Chocolate Chip corduroy button is attached to the center.  A piece of 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain and a piece of 1/4" Old Olive grosgrain finish off the card.  I left it without a sentiment for now.

Let me know what you think, then head on over to Jeannette's blog to see what she created for the sketch.  (Her project may not be posted yet.  Just check back in the morning if it's still Friday night.)

Supplies(all sU!):  Stamps- none.  Ink- So Saffron.  Paper-  Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Welcome Neighbor DSP.  Accessories-  Big Shot, Daisies #2 die, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Chocolate Chip corduroy button, 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain, 1/4" Old Olive grosgrain.

Thanks for visiting!

Just wanted to say that I think "sketch skip" sounds be catchy--and it perfectly describes the process. I don't know if the term has already been used or not (it's new to me), but why not? Oh, and I really loved the daisies in the corner of the card. Beaut.
